I've arrived home from my big trip to Ann Arbor, Michigan. Not too cold at first, but that quickly changed into a weather I've only read about in Louis L'Amour novels. Holy Fuck it got cold. A bit of a delay whilst the departing aeropland was deiced...whatever that is, but time was mysteriously made up, and I arrived in good time. I have many thoughts about the work I will have ahead of me, and won't dwell on the finer points of plastination here. I'll save that, and my petty gripes about the trip for another day. It's time to go eat some turkey.

I didnt really like that whole shaved meat-cutter thing, i would look over at that drum stick you had shoved in your mouth and they looked the same.

Now the cracking you heard coming from my mouth was a different timbre than the one coming from the Dr.'s mouth as he ate something fuzzy for lunch.

De-icing(or anti-icing) is the process of spraying a warm/hot glycol-water mixture, not terribly unlike automotive antifreeze, on the control surfaces of the aircraft to keep ice from forming(and to remove ice that has already formed). If things like ailerons, flaps, and rudders "ice up", they don't work too well. And that can be disastrous. Remember that plane that went into the Potomac river 20 or so years ago? That's what can happen. Mind you, that was an absolute clusterfuck, but lack of proper deicing procedures played a part.

I was hoping it would improve my hairline which it doesn't. It does however provide me with xray vision.
