Confirmed

I do have a lesson tomorrow. Maybe now I can get the Beethoven monkey off my back and move on to something different. Anything would be a nice change....well, almost anything, I was never that big of a Mozart fan.

It's been quite around Visceraman1 lately I know, it's been quiet around the workplace without any wisdom from Kerry, or love notes from Sweet Jeri. I haven't been doing much gaming as of late, the last thing I played was the DaVinci Code game; fun at first, but grew old after a few hours. This is okay, since I have a stack of books to read, and the library is making quick work of my request list. Nothing too serious in my book queue currently, catching up on quite a few missed Kellermans, and a John Irving I overlooked. There's an Augusten Burroughs (one of the funniest men alive), but Jeri snatched that away pretty quickly....it must be pretty good since she hasn't stomped into the room and flung it at my head (like the Confederacy of Dunces).

I must have been dreaming pretty good the other night, I woke up absolutely drenched in sweat. The only thing I've recalled dreaming from that night involved dermestid beetles....

**Update:
I did have my lesson, and got to play with the piano for most of the lesson as well! No, the Beethoven will still be heard throughout the house for the next week, and then....hopefully it will disappear. My starting the lesson with "Can we get rid of this now?" may not have been the thing to say. The lesson was free too....to quote Jeri, "Jews like a good bargain!"

I've yet to let them walk all over my hands and arms, fearing that they will smell the food Jeri dropped down my ear the night before and flock there. Okay, they're not birds, they're not going to "flock" anywhere.

I love John Irving.

I was trying to find a site that gave good information about breaking pipes in. This is the best I found www.pipes.org/how_to.html. If you know of any good methods of smoking your pipe let me know. As well as if there is a good method to get the right amount of caking around the sides, to break it in.

You asked for it Slick Willy.

Currently reading "Until I Find You" by the Irving fellow. Pretty good so far.

Will,
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.smokers.pipes
has a lot of information, post any question you need and someone will help you out. What I would say, and Kerry may back this up when he comes back, is smoke slow. Cake will develop on it's own, don't worry too much about that. Some people don't like much of a cake at all, and wipe their pipe out after each use, some just let it build and build.

Did you get a bent, or a straight pipe? I prefer bents.

www.tobaccoreviews.com is a really good place to read about new tobaccos. Just keep in mind, what one person likes, another hates, so smoke everything you can and keep a list of what you like. What do you think of what you bought yesterday?

I love smoking my pipe now. I'm quitting cigarettes, because smoking a pipe is much more relaxing. I got a bent pipe, and once I get the method down better I was looking at sometime down the road getting a Briar pipe. some Briar pipes are priced pretty well. For now the one I got is great. I read somewhere that polished pipes aren't as good to smoke out of, and thats what mine is. I saw yours is just a regular finish, and that's what alot of smoker recommend. I'm going to order a couple of tobacco's soon and try them out. I was curious about tobacco's in a tin, but I wasn't sure if they were harder to smoke. So for now I'm going to sample loose tobacco. I thank you for introducing me to the pipe Joshua. Now if we can talk our wives into letting us get a couple to Dunhill pipes we will be set. We just have to be able to explain to them that $2,000 for a pipe is a worthwile investment. Besides they are made out of French Bog Oak, that point alone should sell them on the pipes. Oh yah and we need smoking jackets.

You probably already hold a briar by your side, unless you threw down some bucks for a meershaum, or bought a clay pipe.

Tinned tobacco should be similar to what you're smoking now, unless you buy some caked tobacco, or rope/twist. Next time you're over, I'll show you what cake tobacco looks like, and let you try it. It's Pirate Kake, very very latakia heavy, it smells/tastes good (to me), very campfire like, very.....rugged.

$2,000? Whoa, Kerry forgot to mention the signon bonus!
