Musical Update (Non Violin!)

Today marks the monthly (I think) update to the V1 Media Player. Hopefully Kerry's IT guy fixes his computer; he's going to have to learn some of these by the time I'm needed up there. (Could be awhile, good luck!)

This months "set list" includes the following:

Fear Factory: Drones
  • Of course I'm going to put my favourite band in the mix. As usual, I had a hard time not making it all Fear Factory

DJ BC: Sweet Dirty South
  • Come on....you know you're dancing....I'm doing the jiggle dance now...naked..

Sepultura: Dead Embryonic Cells
  • The very first song I ever learned to play on the gee-tar. I still love it.

Arch Enemy: Ravenous
  • Carcass was, and in my mind the best group of musicians. So many of todays acts owe the entire existence of this genre to Carass. After the swansong, Michael and Chris Amott went on to form this band. And even sexier, the singer is Sharlee D'Angelo. Yes, she's a sexy lady.

DJ BC: Sure-Bla-Di Shot-Bla-Da
  • Another excuse to dance. You're welcome.

Wings: Silly Love Songs
  • Because of Jeri, this song always brings a smile to my face.

DJ BC: Stayin Alive
  • Hi!

Presidents of the United States: Peaches
  • This track makes me laugh, as I fondly visualize Jeri gettin' down with her bad self.

And that about wraps it up. Kerry, good luck, I look forward to jamming (as the kids say) with you. I don't see why we couldn't set up in the pompous guys office.
Hip Hop Everybody!

*** Jeri was visually comparing Sharlee D'Angelo to Chyna (the woman wrestler), so here she is:

If Jeri takes time out of her *Stephanie Bonding time* and invites you over to do real things (watching the boy in the chair doesn't count), you can watch Jeri dance to that as well. I will just sit quietly on the floor, pipe in hand. (Peaches does play now...I am a fuckup sometimes, sorry)

You know Joshua I would love to witness Jeri and her dance style. Though I fear my nightmares have come true, and Stephanie is now higher on Jeri's friend list. So now it seems like Jeri will invite me over when Stephanie, The other Sonora Quest crew, and that homeless guy that sells papers across thr street are all busy. Then I think Jeri will go to the bottom of the list and give her pal Will a call.

It's okay Will, I think the Quest location dampens her spirits throughout the week, to the degree she is nearly comatose when Friday evening comes around. I think once she experiences what it feels like to save lives, she'll have a different outlook, and I'll never see her, as she'll be putting in extra hours, and volunteering, just so more lives can be saved.

On a sidenote, they cancelled the slumber party because the curly head wouldn't participate.

So they canceled the slumber part due to your wife? Since I've know her she's been quite the rebel.

Posted by: will at September 25, 2006 04:29 AM

she's a little old for rebellion.

Speaking of Will and Doodle: One of my many lucid dreams last night included me getting my blood drawn. Some lab agent said I could go ahead and draw my own blood. Just prior to me putting the tourniquet on, I dropped the tubes and broke them. Someone gave me new tubes, which I promptyl dropped as well.

Now...what the hell does this mean?

You forgot the part about not feeling the needle go in, which is clearly me.

Will, you always have been very jealous! Let me tell you, as i sport my Red Cross double donor pin on my Sonoraquest badge, that I do not hesitate to mention My friend Will works for the Red Cross saving lives. I will use any segway, some times people will be talking about their grandkids and i will just blurt out your name, they just look at me confused. But I know what time it is! Settle down there Willy, your my best guy friend second only to my sweet Joshua.

"what time is it?!"

People have started looking at me funny too. I spent the afternoon calling out "J S H SH U WAH!" over and over again. They must have thought it pretty weird, because they would stare and stare, never blinking. Just lying there staring....bizarre.

J O S H SH U WAH!

Second place is good for me Jeri Blank.

Posted by: will at September 26, 2006 07:28 PM

2nd place? Great, where does that leave me?

I will be speaking to my loony doctor about this, mark my words!

However Will, I ordered some Vermont Maple Cavendish from Pipeworks & Wilke (http://www.vtpipes.com/tobacco.html). It's hand blended with Vermont maple syrup, and is oh so tasty. Well, if you like maple that is. And as Steven mentioned in an earlier comment, HH Vintage Syrian is back on the shelves. Grab yourself a tin or two or three.

I'll write about Carnival, Baklava, the Vermont blend, and another Pipeworks blend, #192 in the coming days. (As far as Carnival and Baklava are concerned, they're McClelland blends, I like Carnival a bit more, and still love the Pastry blend....I swear I am getting fat from that blend alone...no Jeri, it's not because I don't exercise, I do Jazzercise three times a week)

Ok, after re-reading, I now understand the 2nd place comment.

What time is it?

J O SH U WAH!

Posted by: Joshua at September 26, 2006 09:36 PM

your all caught up then?

Posted by: doddle at September 27, 2006 04:18 AM

Joshua I had no Idea you jazzercize also. You know I think this alone brings you up a few notches on my friends list. It reminds me of what my mother used to say " A friend whom you can jazzercise with, is a friend for life" Wile Jeri is at her slumber party(Oh wait they cancelled it because she wouldn't partake in the festivities)we can do some aerobics, and then talk about the latest gossip at work!!

Will, you just left comment #700 on here. Jeri will get your prize together. (I'm sure Kerry would, but I have him otherwise engaged.)

Posted by: Joshua at September 27, 2006 09:08 AM

Is my prize a Dunhill?

Posted by: will at October 1, 2006 10:21 AM

A Dunhill? That sounds pretty sporting. What is the prize Jeri?

Posted by: will at October 6, 2006 05:47 AM
