Dear Diary: Guess I Shouldn't Swallow It Dry

God this has been a long fucking um...fortnight. Fortunately, it's behind me, and though not all has been for the best, it's what the damned Universe wanted (or thought it wanted this time.) The weekend itself actually had an air of normalcy to it, which I will welcome with open, porky, flabby arms.

Something else I suppose I should have brought up to the team of physicians sent down from the Mayo Clinic (oh don't think they weren't the slightest bit pissed to find there really wasn't some rare neurological incident for their probing), is my frenzied Tivoing of my soaps.

Sure, K-Dog will probably curl up in a fit of sheer jealousy when he learns that I have over 25 hours of soaps recorded. Sure K-Dog, it sounds good, looks good and damned if it just doesn't make one feel all warm and tingly inside (just like Jeri does), but the sad truth is; when the fuck am I going to be able to watch all this? 25 hours of the gang from 90210, and no...I have to go to work, putz with the um....brain thing, or rather things, or rather 30something things. When will I fit this in?

I'll figure it out, you can count on it.

Perhaps it's just *editing*.

I forgot to ask my friend K_Dog yesterday if he remembers when Luke got married.

Luke married Tracy (Spanky Buns) sometime this year, he tricked her into it for millions of dollars and to save the Haunted Star. They have developed as a couple.

Laura came out of her coma (albeit temporarily,) about a week ago. Luke and Laura just got remarried Friday (Laura does not know about Tracy, and Tracy is playing along because Laura will check out soon) in what might be considered as a BIG LOVE ceremony.

I had to trash last Wed. and Thu., as you know ... "some of us have to work" ... perhaps I missed a Luke wedding.

I'm not sure if you missed anything in Genoa City on Wednesday/Thursday. All I know is they've been interrupting my soap (*they*, being the powers that be at Soapnet (or, those who are protecting the Christians from ruining T.V.), with ads about this Luke and Linda wedding.

Had I been paying closer attention to the tv, instead of flipping over onto my belly and whining, I'd have caught that they were remarrying each other.

So my original questions was more along the lines of "where were you when Luke got married?" ala "where were you when JFK was shot?" or, "where were you when Benji was kidnapped?" (The latter for Jeri, because it still haunts her).

Dear god, that could have been an entry onto itself. However, the Nov. 22 entry is going to be from Kerry himself!

JFK is easy, I was home with the mumps! I was in second grade and planning on catching up on my game shows (Let's Make a Deal, Truth or Consequences, What's My Line,) and cartoons ... but those damn Neo-Con's ruined my viewing by offing Kennedy, TV was all JFK all the time. I have hated Neo-Con's ever since.

Luke and Laura's first wedding happened prior to my G H habit. Four years ago (I was a G H newbie then) they were set to be re-married, but Laura killed her Step Father (in self defence) and went into the coma. I was in the den when Luke married Tracy. While this wedding stuff is of interest to some, I am more interested in the gang war, shaping up between Sonny, Jason, Alkazar, and Sonny;s bastard D.A. brother Rick ... it is going to be big!

Who is Benji?

I guess Benji is this damned mutt from Jeri's childhood that used to save kids from being molested, pull old crippled people from burning nursing homes...campy shit like that.

Jeri's been vague about what's so special about the dog, so I can't elaborate too much further.

Gang war sounds compelling. I may take advantage of the upcoming holiday to check into the scene.

HI!
