[Ed. My boss says I really need to edit my photos for this entry. So, under the assumption of her correctness, here we go]
Only but a week ago, I found myself sitting in a much less aggravating climate: everything from the temperature, the color, the cleanliness of the city (it's people, streets, air, water)....I suppose I could drone on and on, but I should really just get to the point. Where was I? Had I just left East Tucson? No, clearly, I was in:

Ok, I only spent part of an afternoon strolling through Kerrytown, and the rest of my time was spent in Ann Arbor for the International Plastination Conference, at the University of Michigan.
As any respectable Tucsonan would do upon their arrival to the area, I hit up a certain restaurant that pulled out of Arizona many many years ago (stayed longer than Sambo's though):

The following morning, it was down to brass tacks, attending workshops under the clever direction of Bob Henry

Workshops included such ventures as sheet plastination,

Which has the potential to produce transparent slices like this hoof:

There was some neurovascular colouring taking place:

An impressive display of life's challenges:

And life's corrections

I didn't understand what took place in this building:

But can attest to this being the World's Largest Tire

Next year's conference is in Heidelberg, and from what I can tell, I'll be seated in a coach seat heading there. My Senior Editor/Boss/Fearless Leader/German Translator - Doodle, will be headed there as well, I think there might be a few more pictures to sort through upon our return.

Looks Like a fantastic trip! I hope much was learned...Miss Jeri..Was it you who sent me my last pay check from SQL?. My mom suddenly realized it was mine and gave it to me today...they paid me all my pto time except for .78 of an hour.. am i getting robbed?
Posted by: Tragic at July 22, 2007 08:54 PM
Much was learned about sangria. And cheese. They probably have some sort of corporate excuse for the .78.

You probably quit on a Monday or a Friday, Steph, you know you arent allowed to on these days!
Posted by: doodle at July 23, 2007 05:26 AM
Your right..but i think i quit on a tuesday. oh well..they can have their stinking not quite an hour...I hear sangria is quite the popular drink in Michigan..I have an ex who loved the stuff. and well you can never go wrong with a good cheese...

I love how you sort of get duped into more photos by continuing the story. Clever young Joshua!

Steph, did you get your little package?
Posted by: doodle at July 24, 2007 04:12 AM
I have not..that means a call into my mother is in order...I hope there are some more of those lovely rocks in there.....I couldn't help but notice the addition of pictures as well...very very cool stuff...My seth wondered if there was a truck big enough to sport that tire....

Okay, the sheet plastination is very cool, in a transcends Kerrytown sort of way. The big question is, how much menudo will come of the megacolon?d

If they hadn't fucked the colon up with all those polymers, I'd be eating pretty for at least a month.
Since I was living in a hotel, without even a microwave, I couldn't fully appreciate all that was Kerrytown; it's really a large farmer's market, with loads of sexy salmon, and of course cheese - those wacky Michiganites love their cheese.
Your boss, and Jeri would have liked one store upstairs. I pulled the old "hey have you ever heard of this artist....?"
Not a good move. Easily forgiven when I launched into my naked dance!

I came across your initials recently and it made me sad. All is usual on the work front. Kristina will be doing Lucy's old job, and Lucy is Supervisor of the IOP's. Three new girls, one yet to be seen. Guadalupe attempting to backstab her way to the top. Whats new with you?
Posted by: doodle at July 29, 2007 01:18 PM
There's a backstabbing little cunt here as well. I may draft a few notes about her in the future, I will call her "Maria".
Posted by: Joshua at July 30, 2007 01:03 PM
Right, Right, lets just call her Maria!

Nothing new here...had a lovely case of food poison over the weekend..thats always nice...my little one has been ill and is now starting to feel good and can hardly keep him contained...and my older boy..well lets just say school just can't start soon enough..altho it does start on the 8th so its coming quickly...How does Kristi's tummy tuck look?..i'm sure she is pleased with it..and for quadalupe expect anything less?....I'm sure my initials and yours were together..lol..
Posted by: Tragic at July 30, 2007 09:19 PM
Well I for one didn't notice anything "new" about this tummy tuck. In fact, I thought she might have a touch of the pregnancies. Just me though.
Moving on, Doodle's never been blessed with food poisoning. Lucky little shit. I mean, it's not like I really want her to experience the shitting on toilet while vomiting in bathtub pleasures.....but.....
Posted by: Joshua at July 30, 2007 09:50 PM
I strongly advise against the food poison experience unless one wants out of work for a day or two...we all got the poison..my son got it the worst..then me..then my seth...but we are all doing better...
