Feeling somewhat ambitious this morning, I donned my trusty work boots, the hat I stole from Matt, and set out to attack the grass/weeds/....now small shrubs (because *someone* won't build a burro pen so we can have a burro to trample things....and a goat), and so forth. All was well until I bent over to tear out more Hybanian Thistleleaf (native to us here in the Yukon Territories). That was when the leaves rustled, and there appeared a small army of these fuckers:

I knew I needed to take a picture to show why I had A) not finished my chores, and B) Micturated in my new flannel work pants. Oh so conveniently, Mr. Lithium Shakes appeared, which made for a fairly comical sight. Me, trying to avoid the reptiles, trying to photograph them, shaking like a mad man, trying not to drop the camera and get at least one shot in focus.
I really had but a few options. Take my requisite Propranolol, wait an hour and hope the lizard snakes had stayed put. Wait for Jeri to come home and take the photo - of course, requiring that the monsters stayed put, or continue to brave the threat and take the photo. So, there they are. When Jeri comes home, I'll see if she'll take a photo.

I of course told they were "snakes" and of course since Joshua cries like a little girl and flaps his wings every time a bug appears I assumed I had to take care of things. Its funny, after 5 years I still believe you. And after 5 years, still no quilt for me.

No babies (or prospect of babies), no quilt.
Wait...unless we haven't been told something (ok, *they* don't even acknowledge you anymore, much less tell you anything), so I'm guessing it's purely favoritism at this point.
I, K-Dog, and the Teg-Master will find you a quilt. Ok, it will be me and TM, since K-Dog will be busy building the burro pen, porch and shed. WON'T YOU!

I would have been building those things, but you have lizard snakes in your yard. When they metamorph into silk worms, and start on that quilt, I will be down.i

Oh what fright those beasts still bring. Their endless rows of fangs :Shiver-shiver:.
I did smile when I went out side and saw a heron with one dangling from it's beak. Soon, you will be down to just one excuse for the burro pen. (God it's probably going to be a dramatic one like "but you guys live all the way up in Canada..." or similar.)
No quilt for you either then K-Dog.

I too encountered these particular bugs on one of my many discovery walks to my car from my apartment door..I saw one so big that it moved the whole bush outside my window..you could hear the crinkle in its walk and the juice sloshing around in its fat belly...ahhhh the natives...Hello dear friends..i do hope all is well in your world...
Posted by: Tragic at August 28, 2007 07:04 PM
Tragic ... the lizard snake you saw, probably just ate a burro.
Posted by: Kerry at August 29, 2007 11:19 AM
Hope you're happy K-Dog. Another innocent, sweet burro...you know, the kind with the big big brown eyes, that are filled with nothing but love?....was brutally murdered because he/she didn't have a pen to call home.
Oh this cruel cruel world....why....why...Why?
(Or "Oh Goshy Jeeps!")

Tragic, how are you? Mrs. Lucy told me to say hello. Are you gainfully employed? Bet there is a lot of competition at the local Walmart.
Posted by: doodles at August 29, 2007 06:40 PM
Miss Lucy...I hope she is well..as for employment..I have none..altho..there is a new wally world going in here in this small town that only has a population of 3000..right up the street..sounds promising..but i think i will hold off on the job thing for a while..i am going to deal with some health problems that i have been putting off for way to long...I hope that SQL has not beat you down but then you won't go down without a fight...

I took your picture off that failed art project, cut it, added some bubble text and adhered it too my paper towel dispenser. I smile and I amuse myself when I look at it.
Sadly, im starting to look like the only option in terms of experience at Sonora. Of course, Mary likes the status and expects people listen to her, but she couldnt manage to pass the test, and Guadalupe is looking for backs to stab, and Poor Ms. Rodriguez is starting to accept that Im all thats left. I miss you, come back because none of them are my friend.
Posted by: doodles at August 30, 2007 07:30 PM
I miss you greatly and I am curious to know what the bubble text says....I am hoping to come down soon but i just say that in hopes that some magic bus will pick me up and carry me there..my lovely boyfriend is going to make something for you my dear and I am expecting it to be in your room at work cuz im pretty sure it won't match your decor at home..How is mary..I crack up when i think of the name Maatin..or Maathaa...Believe me..i want to be back..i miss it there....

Come home then, once the magical bus shows up, just leave the crap at your folks. Bring Stephens things of course.

Be very very careful. There' lots of snakes outside.
Jeri's taking me to look at naked chicks tonight. Yep, naked, tattooed bitches. With cigarettes. I would like a cigarette too.
Pictures to post tomorrow.

Hello Joshua and Jeri Blank. How has life been treating you?
Posted by: will at September 9, 2007 08:58 AM
How funny. We were just talking about you last night. Joshua said it had been awhile since we heard from you and I said that now that you were running the Red Cross you simply didnt have any spare time.

A phone call would be nice. 229-2028 and I don't think its under Jeremy Prince anymore.
Posted by: Will at September 9, 2007 01:04 PM
Im sure my mother would love a phone call too. But Will, as my best-friend you should know by now I hate the phone. If you want to call to make dinner invites, I will take it. Next weekend is out, since I work for SonoraQuest, and the first weekend of October is out due to Oral surgery. Aside from that, Im open.

I'm moving very soon, but after that there will be an invitation for the Lopez family in process.

Management piss off the Missus? Again?
Posted by: doodle at September 10, 2007 10:26 AM
Nope, just tired of living here. We have an offer on a house right now. So I can only hope.
