WARNING: VOMITING AHEAD

February 25, 2008

Loafed

I thought the soup I made (Chorizo & Butternut) was delightful (even though it was a balmy 90 degrees outside already), but it just wasn't very photogenic. So instead, you get the bread I made to accompany it.

Small and Round

It's never been any secret about Jeri's webbed fingers, and anyone who's met her would most likely agree with that.

So much like the fact that I have to wear diapers to bed at night, there are are certain concessions that I make especially for Jeri. Like perhaps making small tortillas that will fit her hand better:

{Yes, I made the real deal beans to go with them! Just like home!}

Sunday Breakfasting

Besides her little blintzes, Jeri is often muted by the presence of something called a Bizmarck. Looking around, I suppose it's pretty similar to a German Oven Pancake only better. Shown here with mango and kiwi, mine looked similar but had added maple syrup. Hey, it aint easy bustin' the seams!

It's Often Said

That while I get down to business, Jeri on the other hand doodles around and well.....let's just go to the pictures okay?

VS.

Wait..those aren't the right pictures...never mind then.

Yes, you caught me playing some Proving Ground. I don't know....It's hugely better than Project 8 was, but it's still....maybe I just miss the old 'Underground, or Pro days.

Does that mean I'm not a good Christian?

Have You Seen Viscera Super Star?

(Or a side of Joshua not often seen...)

When The Judge Said

Tragic may be a bit disappointed in my lack of baking (however I did spend the week making my own corned beef..that's another entry though), anyway, part of Ms. Jeri's VD gift (no, not the herpe type), was tickets to the nicely sold out Sia show. Accompanied by her pals Dolce & Gabana from Gilbert, she feasted on pancakes and then made her way into the venue.

Before Sia, we were all treated to a performance by Har Mar Superstar who....well..I am never wearing pants to work again. Ever. Infectious, sexy, and brazen. I found his performance delightful....

And then Sia took the stage. I'm sure Jeri will add her review in the comments below, and rather surprisingly, I will second them.

Kerry was there in spirit of course, his thoughts were pretty...well...I'm not sure what Jackson Browne had to do with anything...

6 Days Away

I've been biting my tongue about this for some time, not wanting to soil myself with excess excitement...although, I have infuriated a Jeri on occasion with my rantings about the movie. Oh and how I shrieked when the trailer played at the movie theater....a little slice of heaven!

What am I talking about?

Surely you're kidding.

I, like all the other girls, will simply be glued to KSL Channel 5 this Sunday for the premiere of:

Drizzling Affair

When you've been a good girl all week, and the worst your employer can say about you is "Jeri only brings in baked goods for the people on her shift, and not the other paltry, lazy personnel", then go ahead, eat your god damn cinnamon rolls:

With just a hint of that maple walnut goodness that Jeri enjoys:

Normally I don't find myself indulging in this sort of goodie, but I did eat a healthy amount of raw cinnamon roll, and I think they turned out oh so tasty. Which of course means, there's only enough for your shift.

Sorry if I get you in trouble again.

Pretty Cheesy

Without a doubt, the cheesecake has to be one of my favourite desserts to make, and perhaps the only that I don't get to sample either. (One might say "Joshua, you are getting the short end of the sharp stick...").

Be that as it may, I can sit back and smile, knowing that I am doing the Lord's bidding by preparing plates for the "Chicks O' Sonora Q" (Um...Tragic? Will? Hello??)

Of Mammoth Proportions

Yep...Jeri had been such a good girl the night before at the Price Club, so I fixed her up a batch of calzones. A new recipe for the dough, and I was quite pleased with it. Unfortunately, (I guess?) they popped just a bit in the oven. Jeri's actually looked really nice, until I tossed the melted cheese on top - I should have waited.

We did not finish in one sitting.

(Mozzarella, Provolone, Pepperoni, mushrooms, ricotta...the usual...lo-cal filling.)

Audiolicious!
