On smoking cigarettes ...given notice of my eminent demise, I would immediately stop for a carton of delightful Benson and Hedges menthol 100s (and take a vacation.)

I would retire and practice the art drinking beer with my feet.

And I would do something radical, like say, shave my head: "Chemo be damned!"

That too, well ...except the shaving the head part.

Menthol sounds soooo good right now. Does it count as a vacation, if I only use a vacation day from work?

I don't see why it couldn't. I'm pretty sure Administration will have a different take on the matter.

I think it does, and the university will account for the time in a vacation manner.

Thank You Thank You...I understand that what happens on vacation stays on vacation..we have yet to go to a drinking establishment and yet to go on a travel that is longer than an hour so it could prove to be interesting. It's ok to cheat. I really don't have much of a strong urge to smoke but i do miss the habit. I am hoping to recieve a lovely postcard from Germany...
