6 Days Away

I've been biting my tongue about this for some time, not wanting to soil myself with excess excitement...although, I have infuriated a Jeri on occasion with my rantings about the movie. Oh and how I shrieked when the trailer played at the movie theater....a little slice of heaven!

What am I talking about?

Surely you're kidding.

I, like all the other girls, will simply be glued to KSL Channel 5 this Sunday for the premiere of:

Oh my gosh, Watson, cars all day Sunday. IT ALL starts with Daytona, channel 13, 4 days, 12 hours and 43 minutes from this moment.

hey, it was 11:13 when I wrote the above.

I've driven on the Daytona track before.

(Sure Doodle's going to say "video games don't count", but...where was I?....

Yes. What's the deal on the time?

Wow...The talking car is back...I have you know that we are 5 weeks smoke free...wooooooo

Posted by: Tragic at February 12, 2008 11:47 AM

Tragic, congrats on 5 weeks!

Watson, speaking (well, writing) of Doodle ...I was wondering if either of you might know of a good salmon with lemon pepper sauce recipe? See, I found some good asparagus, and what goes better with asparagus...

this is what happens when Im working my tail feathers off?
Having my personality ranked between 1-5? I have "potential" though.

Posted by: doodleroo at February 12, 2008 06:27 PM

Steph, beware of vacations. These set you back somewhat on "quitting". So, in four months or so I will be smokin and putting down a fine german ale.

Posted by: doodleroo at February 12, 2008 06:30 PM

Grab your steno pad and I will dictate the recipe to you. Then, on your way home, you may obtain the necessaries, and prepare a sexy meal for SWAMBO.

(I'll take care of it since Doodle is apparently getting her tailfeathers ruffled about smoking.)

Nice work to the White Mountain Bandits and their smoking loss!

Posted by: Joshua at February 12, 2008 08:18 PM

Improper framing on my part Watson, thanks for the recipe!

On smoking cigarettes ...given notice of my eminent demise, I would immediately stop for a carton of delightful Benson and Hedges menthol 100s (and take a vacation.)

Posted by: Kerry at February 13, 2008 11:06 AM

I would retire and practice the art drinking beer with my feet.

And I would do something radical, like say, shave my head: "Chemo be damned!"

Posted by: Joshua at February 13, 2008 11:25 AM

That too, well ...except the shaving the head part.

Posted by: Kerry at February 13, 2008 12:32 PM

Menthol sounds soooo good right now. Does it count as a vacation, if I only use a vacation day from work?

I don't see why it couldn't. I'm pretty sure Administration will have a different take on the matter.

Posted by: Joshua at February 13, 2008 01:23 PM

I think it does, and the university will account for the time in a vacation manner.

Posted by: Kerry at February 13, 2008 02:38 PM

And there's my answer:

"But Kerry said....."

(I use that answer prettttyyy often.)

Posted by: Joshua at February 13, 2008 08:32 PM

I hope it works better for you, than it does for me.

Thank You Thank You...I understand that what happens on vacation stays on vacation..we have yet to go to a drinking establishment and yet to go on a travel that is longer than an hour so it could prove to be interesting. It's ok to cheat. I really don't have much of a strong urge to smoke but i do miss the habit. I am hoping to recieve a lovely postcard from Germany...

I am waiting for this weeks installment of Cooking with Joshua or Great Treats for Doodle. what will it be this weekend?!?!? A lovely cake? cookies? italian pasta dish? stay tuned.

Here's your hint:

It's been in brine all week long. The thought of it made Kerry wet himself, and even Jeri the "Anti-Meat" is looking forward to it.....

I really should make the girl something sweet to go along with it....

Not bad....
