Have You Seen Viscera Super Star?

(Or a side of Joshua not often seen...)

Dear Diary: Shake it!

Your eyes are not deceiving you.....the audio player is back in all it's friggin glory. On deck for the New Year:

  • Keep The Ball Rollin' - Mr. Al Hirt
  • Fancy Pants (Kerry) - Mr. Al Hirt
  • Come Touch The Sky - Trouble
  • Manic Frustration - Trouble
  • Stone The Crows - Down
  • Nothingness - Gorefest
  • Corridor of Chameleons - Meshuggah
  • Breathe...- Trouble

And lookey, nothing overly heavy. I suppose, one could say this playlist is parentally friendly. We'll see, Pops? You know you just stood up behind your desk and started gyrating to the sexy beats....

A real post to follow tomorrow, I've wanted to get the player back up. Oh....it's here too:

Musical Update (Non Violin!)

Today marks the monthly (I think) update to the V1 Media Player. Hopefully Kerry's IT guy fixes his computer; he's going to have to learn some of these by the time I'm needed up there. (Could be awhile, good luck!)

This months "set list" includes the following:

Fear Factory: Drones
  • Of course I'm going to put my favourite band in the mix. As usual, I had a hard time not making it all Fear Factory

DJ BC: Sweet Dirty South
  • Come on....you know you're dancing....I'm doing the jiggle dance now...naked..

Sepultura: Dead Embryonic Cells
  • The very first song I ever learned to play on the gee-tar. I still love it.

Arch Enemy: Ravenous
  • Carcass was, and in my mind the best group of musicians. So many of todays acts owe the entire existence of this genre to Carass. After the swansong, Michael and Chris Amott went on to form this band. And even sexier, the singer is Sharlee D'Angelo. Yes, she's a sexy lady.

DJ BC: Sure-Bla-Di Shot-Bla-Da
  • Another excuse to dance. You're welcome.

Wings: Silly Love Songs
  • Because of Jeri, this song always brings a smile to my face.

DJ BC: Stayin Alive
  • Hi!

Presidents of the United States: Peaches
  • This track makes me laugh, as I fondly visualize Jeri gettin' down with her bad self.

And that about wraps it up. Kerry, good luck, I look forward to jamming (as the kids say) with you. I don't see why we couldn't set up in the pompous guys office.
Hip Hop Everybody!

*** Jeri was visually comparing Sharlee D'Angelo to Chyna (the woman wrestler), so here she is:

Updated Audio Feed

Hmmm.....which tracks do I not feed through the Audio Player? For now, the track list is as follows:

  • Supernova
  • Transgression
  • Millennium
  • Spinal Compression
  • Contagion
  • I will follow
  • Echo of my Scream
  • Empty Vision

The tracks are fairly varied, some for advocates of the lighter side, and for those of the heavier influence. No, no death metal present, just my friends from Fear Factory
Enjoy.

Transgression

Once thought extinct from the music scene, Fear Factory has once again proven why its talents are untouchable and incomparable.

Fuckers. Since day one they've amazed me, taunted, and encouraged. Fuckers. How they can only become more amazing, I don't know. Of course, I'll put some of their new magic up for you.
Fuckers.

Listen to mp3 of post

*Updated Audio Player to reflect the addition of Supernova, Transgression, Spinal Compression, Contagion and Millenium

Audio Stream

Audio Stream is up and running, located over there on the right, and will conveniently open in a separate window unlike the last player. A bit faster to change the playlist, since this one utilizes xml rather than simple load. I'm not overly pleased with the load time, should be a bit quicker. I'm not sure how often I should be swapping out the playlist. Daily? Weekly? Monthly? Annually? Currently it holds 8 tracks, almost all are DJ BC, (those were the only tracks that caught my dutiful assistant's attention while working), and a Fear Factory track - oh yeah, that's a shocker.

Response

In regards to Cranium Oxide's posting about top 5 albums, I couldn't really narrow it down to just 5. If it were up to me, I would be compiling a favourite list for months to come. At any rate, here's my top album ist:

band collage

The almost made it list is excruciatingly long, of course anything from Fear Factory, Death (RIP Chuck!)Sepultura (Roots and older), Machine Head, Meshuggah, Slayer, Metallica (Justice and older only), Pantera, Frontline Assembly, Ministry, Johnny Winter, James Brown, Frank Sinatra, Run DMC, Agnostic Front (pre-reuion era), Malevolent Creation, Arch Enemy and Soilwork round out that list. That of course is just the "A" list.

Audiolicious!
